a temporary residence card?
Thẻ tạm trú là loại giấy tờ để cấp cho người nước ngoài được phép cư trú có thời hạn tại Việt Nam. Thẻ tạm trú là loại giấy tờ do cơ quan quản lý xuất nhập cảnh hoặc cơ quan có thẩm quyền của Bộ Ngoại giao cấp cho người nước ngoài được phép cư trú có thời hạn tại Việt Nam và có giá trị thay thị thực.
Who is eligible for a temporary residence card
The individuals eligible for a temporary residence card include:
Foreign nationals who are members of diplomatic missions, consular offices, or representatives of international organizations under the United Nations or intergovernmental organizations in Vietnam, as well as their spouses, children under 18 years old, and accompanying domestic workers during their tenure (Code NG3).
Foreign nationals entering Vietnam with visas bearing the following symbols: LV1, LV2, LS, ĐT1, ĐT2, ĐT3, NN1, NN2, DH, PV1, LĐ1, LĐ2, TT.
Foreign nationals who are members of diplomatic missions, consular offices, or representatives of international organizations under the United Nations or intergovernmental organizations in Vietnam, as well as their spouses, children under 18 years old, and accompanying domestic workers during their tenure (Code NG3).
Foreign nationals entering Vietnam with visas bearing the following symbols: LV1, LV2, LS, ĐT1, ĐT2, ĐT3, NN1, NN2, DH, PV1, LĐ1, LĐ2, TT.
1. LV1
Issued to individuals working with departments, agencies, or units directly under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the National Assembly, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuracy, the State Audit, ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government; provincial party committees, municipal party committees, People’s Councils, People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities.
2. LV2
Issued to individuals working with political-social organizations, social organizations, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
3. LS
Issued to foreign lawyers practicing in Vietnam.
4. ĐT1
Issued to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with a capital contribution of 100 billion VND or more, or those investing in sectors, industries, or regions that are eligible for investment incentives as determined by the government.
5. ĐT3
Issued to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with a capital contribution valued from 3 billion VND to less than 50 billion VND.
6. NN1
Issued to individuals who are Heads of representative offices or projects of international organizations and foreign non-governmental organizations in Vietnam.
7. NN2
Issued to individuals who are heads of representative offices, branches of foreign merchants, representative offices of foreign economic, cultural, or professional organizations in Vietnam.
8. DH
Issued to individuals coming for internships or studies.
9. PV1
Issued to journalists and reporters who are based in Vietnam.
10. LĐ1
Issued to foreign individuals working in Vietnam who are confirmed to be exempt from the work permit requirement, except in cases where international treaties, of which Vietnam is a member, have different provisions.
11 LĐ2
Issued to foreign individuals working in Vietnam who are required to have a work permit.
12. TT
Issued to foreign individuals who are the spouse, child under 18 years old of a foreigner holding a visa with the symbols LV1, LV2, LS, ĐT1, ĐT2, ĐT3, NN1, NN2, DH, PV1, LĐ1, LĐ2, or to foreigners who are the father, mother, spouse, or child of a Vietnamese citizen.
